Achieving universal access to safe drinking water and sanitation and managing sustainably water resources

The question of water is a cross-cutting issue which requires to be given full consideration in the post-2015 Development Agenda. The French water stakeholders, reunited within the French Water Partnership, are collectively in favour of a specific water Goal within the post 2015 Development Agenda which a necessary condition to generate significant progress in this essential sector of development.

Water remains an urgent issue worldwide

Water is at the core of global concerns. It is the theme that has stimulated the most contributions in "the world we want" campaign, launched by the United Nations to prepare the post-2015 Goals. It comes in second place in the consultations carried out by the United Nations in over 60 countries to prepare the "Open Working Groups".
